Wearing shoes indoors helps protect your heel and toe and maintain balance and stability. Wearing shoes outside in grass helps protect against parasites. Yikes!
Thoroughly look over your feet for any abnormalities, skin cancer, bunions, corns, fungus, among other things, that could be on there.
