As a Wellness Coach I am here to help offer ongoing emotional and mental support as well as help YOU Take control of your health! The majority of us know what we need to do to live a healthier life, but some of us need a jump start, some motivation. I am not going to repeat many things you have already heard. Let’s keep it real though; nothing about living well has changed in many years. The same things will get the same results.
Water, water, and more water, like it or not, it is what our bodies need. Eating less food is a must. You can not continue to eat until you are stuffed. What you eat is most important. So many people tell me I only eat once per day. 1st of all that’s horrible for your metabolism and secondly what was in that meal? EXERCISE, GET MOVING! Not only is it good to stay fit, but it makes you feel better. It helps your muscles.
ELIMINATE the lifestyle choices that result in poor health. You know what they are, being sedentary or sitting on your butt, smoking, drinking to excess, drug abuse (legally or illegally), insomnia or poor sleep patterns, stress, etc. One of the 1st steps to recovery is flushing toxins out of the body, detoxification. Cleansing your colon is a good way to start. Yep, I said it, clean that colon!
When you eliminate an unhealthy lifestyle choice, you have to replace it with a healthy one. You want to NOURISH your body by providing the nutrients it needs at the cellular level. Build your diet around whole foods, the healthy stuff!
REPLENISH your body with crucial nutrients as needed. Times or situations may occur when your body needs more than just good food.
I don’t believe in diets, not that they don’t work. I don’t like to restrict myself, and I’m guessing that you don’t either. Diets do work, for the short term. Most people gain the weight back. I believe in making lifestyle changes, permanently. Living well is a willingness to acknowledge that the most important factor in your health is YOU! You can improve your health through better lifestyle choices.
